Buteyko-Land by Victor Lunn-Rockliffe
Victor Lunn-Rockliffe has envisaged in his illustration on the next
page, a world that gradually comes to integrate Buteyko principles into
daily life. Time is depicted as you move into the picture. The front
is today, the back is sometime into the future. Breathing is shown by
the little white clouds. The more clouds, the greater the extent of
over-breathing. So, as you move into the picture and through time, people
are breathing more and more and consequently their health is deteriorating.
The Control Pause is illustrated by the height of the land. In the valley
the average CP is lower than the up in the highlands. Towards the front
there are only a few people who have discovered how to restore health
by reducing breathing. It is quite a difficult climb up the CP mountain.
As time passes, more and more people adopt the Method and escape into
the land of health and high CP. (You can see the artist painting the
picture in the bottom right hand corner!)
